Kate
Clifford Larson, PhD, earned her doctorate in history at the University of
New Hampshire. A graduate of Simmons College and Northeastern University, she
is the author of Harriet Tubman, Bound for the Promised Land, Portrait
of an American Hero. She has won numerous academic awards and fellowships
in support of her work. She makes her home in Massachusetts.
