William C. Kashatus, PhD
 
William C. Kashatus, PhD, is a graduate of Earlham College, he earned his M.A. at Brown University and his Ph.D. at the University of Pennsylvania. He taught history for fifteen years in Philadelphia's independent schools, During that time, he spent his summers as an historical interpreter at Valley Forge and Independence National Historical Parks. Kashatus' books include: A Virtuous Education: William Penn's Vision of Philadelphia's Schools and Connie Mack's '29 Triumph: The Rise and Fall of the Philadelphia Athletics Dynasty. He has also published more than 200 essays in noted History and Biography periodicals. He was a participant in and consultant to the award-winning documentary film, "Whispers of Angels, a Story of the Underground Railroad." He makes his home in Southeast, Pennsylvania.
