Judith Bentley, M.A., M.A./EdD
 
Judith Bentley, M.A., M.A./EdD, is a teacher at South Seattle Community College where she teaches English and Pacific Northwest History. She is a writer of young adult books, which include Harriet Tubman an Impact Biography, Dear Friend, Thomas Garrett and William Still, Collaborators on the Underground Railroad, as well as biographies of Fidel Castro, Desmond Tutu, Sandra Day O'Connor, and nine other books on Western history and current social issues. She has a master's in the History of American Civilization from New York University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and a master's degree in educational psychology from the NYU School of Education. She was a participant in and consultant to the award-winning documentary film, "Whispers of Angels, a Story of the Underground Railroad."
